Common complaints in E4OD and 4R100 Ford transmissions are the P0781 1-2 shift error code and P0732 incorrect 2nd gear ratio code. Late, lazy or no up-shift to 2nd cause. The cause could be a broken or bent / distorted fatigued 1-2 shift spring. The new Superior K0106 is just the fix for not having to rob used valve body's or change used springs causing reoccurrences. There are three springs per box.
